ACE Cycling and Mountaineering Center organizes cycling, walking, rafting, snowshoeing and mountaineering guided tours in Europe, East Europe and the Balkan. We specialize in high quality custom walking and bicycling vacation. Our schedule tours in 2006 season are in Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Italy, Greece and Austria. We have thirteen years of experience in work with European and American clients. If you are interested in self-guided cycling holiday or walking holiday in the Balkan region our team will be happy to assist you in tour planning.

Our local activities are based on daily and two-day walking, cycling and rafting tours in south east Serbia which are frequently organized all year round. The tours are guided and designed to cover all levels, from easy to challenging.
Team Building Program helps to build stronger team, improve team working abilities, resolve team conflicts, and aid companies in planning for and adapting to a continually changing future.

ACE School trips are specially designed for children. They have all standards for environmentally and socially friendly tourism.

In 7 days we will explore the most beautiful part of Serbia. We will hike on Stara and Suva Planina, Svrljiske Planine, Ozren and Rtanj Mountains, ride on the small local roads through the countryside and forests. We will explore Beljanica mountain and medieval monasteries Manasija and Ravanica. Our accommodation will be in local 3 star hotels and charming private country pensions.

Stara Planina (Old Mountain) is located in east Serbia and spreads all across Bulgaria. Join us and experience this magnificent mountain. We will stay in three star hotel "Babin Zub", which is nestled right below the same name mountain summit (1757 m). We will hike through the forest and meadows up to the highest mountain peak on Stara Planina - Midzor (2170 m). You can enjoy beautiful view from one of the highest peaks in Serbia.

Nearby Attractions

Just 30 km southeast from Nis you can find real paradise for hiking and mountaineering. Suva Planina (Dry Mountain) is one of the most beautiful mountains in Balkan. There is no many mountain peaks in Serbia that you can compare with Trem, Sokolov Kamen... The summits are easy accessible from southern sides but their northern parts are sharply cut. On the summit you will find yourself at the age of cliff and you will enjoy unforgettable view. We will hike to the highest Suva Planina summit Trem (1810 m).

Beljanica Mountain belongs to the mountain range of the Carpato-Balkanides. It is one of the largest karst areas in Serbia. The mountain is mostly covered

DAILY SCHEDULE

Day 1	Arrival and check in to hotel Babin Zub (1570 m) on Stara Planina Mountain. Afternoon - hiking to spectacular Babin Zub Peak (1757 m) - 3 hours of hiking. Longer or shorter tour available
Day 2	We will hike through the forest and meadows up to the highest mountain peak on Stara Planina - Midzor (2170 m). You can enjoy beautiful view from one of the highest peaks in Serbia. Total time of hiking - 7 hours. Longer or shorter tour available.
Day 3	We will hike to the most spectacular and the highest mountain peak on Suva Planina (Dry Mountain) - Trem (1810 m). Hiking time - 6 hours. Longer or shorter tour available.
Day 4	Hiking to Soko Grad (Soko Grad is founded in 1st century by Romans to protect territory from attacks). There is not much left from Roman town in present. Ruins of Soko Grad have typical Serbian medieval fortifying site. After hike you can relax your muscles in hot bath. You can choose to bathe in hot springs in Moravica River or go to old Turkish bath.
Day 5	Hiking to Resavska Cave. The tour starts from the hotel Lisine. We will take a short (one hour) but nice hike to the Resavska Cave. The walking path goes over the hill which lays between our hotel and the cave. One needs about 40 minutes to visit the cave. From the cave we will walk back to the hotel.
Day 6	Rafting on the Nisava River. Our chalets in the Sicevo Gorge represent a perfect base for river touring and exploring Nisava river. There is not better way to relax or cool your self down during summer warm. There are several different tours available.

Policies & Conditions

To make a reservation you have to fill out the registration form. After receipt of your registration form we will send you confirmation letter. To confirm your reservation you have to pay deposit of 20% of total tour cost. Balance of trip cost, is due to 30 days prior to the start of your trip.
Book as early as possible. Full payment is due when booking within 30 days of trip start date.

Children up to 2 years: No Charge
Children from 3 to 5 years accompanied by adults: 70% discount
Children from 6 to 13 years accompanied by adults: 50% discount

Cancellation and refunds
If you have to cancel a trip for any reason, the following refund schedule applies:

Early departures, for any reasons during the tour, are considered non-refundable cancellations.
