A 1984 worldwide SELLE ITALIA patented use of “silicon gel” that improves comfort through the displacement of pressure using strategically placed “gel” inserts.
The properties of the Selle Italia silicon gel insert are:
-lightest type of gel insert available on the market
-silicon gel technology (more resistant and durable)
-absorbing properties up to 40% more than standard gels and 350% more than traditional padding (1 square cm of Selle Italia gel insert can support 120 kg of pressure)
The elasticity and softness of the silicon “gel” insert produces a padding that gradually absorbs bumps and vibrations without excessively weighing down the saddle.
