| Day 1 |
This itinerary is for just 1 of our 8 holiday options that will redefine your perception of mountain biking. Aimed at beginner through to the more experienced rider, the trails we ride challenge, mesmerize, motivate, inspire, and often redefine the way people think about mountain biking. Great service, flexibility and variety are what make a holiday work and we will provide the right mix whether you are a family, a group of friends, travelling as couple or holidaying alone. A vast array of energetic options are available on our holidays, but if lying by a freshwater lake or relaxing on the terrace of one of our chalets holds more appeal, you can do that too. Our holidays are about more than just riding, they are about experiencing BC and its riding culture. From the desert of the interior, the huge peaks of the Rockies, to the rolling mountains of the Caribou plateau, BC is a diverse province with riding like no other. Please read on to find out more about what you can do with t2r.
Day 1 Arrive at Vancouver International followed by a 2hr scenic transfer along the infamous Sea-2-Sky highway. Build bikes, fettle, dinner, relax. Time permittings we can grab a quick ride.
|
| Day 2 |
Finish bike prep then off out on a basic ride/skills assessment. This helps us decide how to pitch the weeks riding and gives you a gentle intro to BC trails. In the afternoon we'll take divide people into groups & hit some of the more technical singletrack routes.
|
| Day 3 |
In the morning it's off to the Whistler classic trail 'kill me thrill me' - with a good mix of tight switch-backs, man-made stunts & steep slick rock descents to keep you concerned!. After lunch it's (as the name may well suggest) comfortably numb – a 5hr marathon adventure for most of our guests.. Moab has 'Porcupine Rim' and 'Slick Rock'. Whistler has 'Comfortably Numb'. This epic trail takes in 25km of classic Whistler singlertack.
|
| Day 4 |
Heli-drop anyone? You're elevated to 6600ft courtesy of the ASTAR Helicopter & deposited in the snow! We then descend on singletrack for anywhere between 2– 4 hours taking in alpine, tree-lined, rock, shale & lush green terrain down to the Whistler valley floor.
|
| Day 5 |
Whistler Bike Park day (extended opening until 8pm throughout the summer ) - so if you're fingers can hold on you've got the chance of 10hrs worth! 30,000ft of downhilling in a day anyone? Some of our guides will host you all day, pointing out trails to suit your riding ability & suggesting possible lines. This is often a good opportunity to spend some quality 1-1 tuition time with our CMIC instructors working on technique improvement. The beauty of the park is in its ability to provide none-stop lift assisted descents in a short period of time. The result = accelerated riding skill improvement.
|
| Day 6 |
Free/Mix day: After riding almost of week of diverse BC trails - you decide how what to do today. There will be XC guided rides in the Valley, you could hit the Bike Park again, or we may even be able to squeeze a 4x4 shuttle in...the choice is yours.
|
| Day 7 |
Chilcotin range – Beaver float planes – unspoilt singletrack paradise! – and you have seen ‘The Collective' right? Today – we jump in our 4x4 trucks and head 3hrs up the Hurley Pass to our Lake Tyaughton base camp. From there we fly you up to Spruce Lake where you start the amazing 5 hour descent down Gun Creek. This is all fantastic natural singletrack but watch out for the Grizzlies!
