Bikes Belong and Peopleforbikes.org Jerseys

WEDNESDAY, 28 JULY 2010

Denver, Colo. – Primal Wear, a leading designer and manufacturer of branded and custom technical cycling clothing, is designing jerseys for national bike advocacy leader Bikes Belong and their new campaign, peopleforbikes.org, which aims to collect the names of one million of the nation’s cyclists in order to show policy makers, the media and the public that bicycling is important and should be supported. Fifty percent of the total jersey retail sales will be donated to the organization and their campaign.

“We love to ride bikes for fun, sport, and transportation, but sometimes it’s not so fun with America’s current road designs and conditions,” said Dave Edwards, Primal Wear founder and CEO. “Bikes Belong and its peopleforbikes.org campaign aim to make bicycling better in the U.S., and that’s something that Primal Wear can really get behind.”

Primal Wear sells the Bikes Belong and peopleforbikes.org jerseys in men’s and women’s sizes exclusively on primalwear.com for $69.95. In addition to donating half of the jersey sale proceeds to the organization, Primal Wear also contributed 50 Bikes Belong and 50 peopleforbikes.org jerseys to Bikes Belong – a donation worth $7,000.

“Primal Wear has been a long-time member and supporter of Bikes Belong,” said Tim Blumenthal, Bikes Belong president. “The entire Primal Wear staff provided tremendous help and lots of sweat equity to the launch of the peopleforbikes.org project, and we’re very grateful for the jerseys they designed for us.”
