DeLand, FL -- With the arrival of Thanksgiving, the holiday season has officially arrived, bringing both the good times spent with family and friends -- as well as the bad times fighting anxiety, stress, and overblown expectations.

"The time between Thanksgiving and the New Year's is one of both joy and angst for many people," said Dr. Randall S. Hansen, founder of EmpoweringRetreat.co
m, a new wellness site that provides empowering tools for the body, mind, and spirit.

"People sometimes unconsciously use the holidays as an excuse to overindulge -- whether in eating, drinking, or buying gifts," Hansen added. "Other people struggle with anxiety and depression during the holidays. While it's certainly meant to be a joyous time, there is often a lot of underlying stress and anxiety," said Hansen.

Hansen offers several critical tips for dealing with emotional and mental stress, over-eating, and over-spending.

"If there is one thing everyone should remember, it's moderation in all you do over the holidays," Hansen noted. "Too often we're just in denial, convincing ourselves that we'll change our ways in the new year, but it's best to break those bad habits now."

Besides doing everything in moderation, Hansen stresses the importance of making time for yourself during the holidays. "While the holidays are about giving to others, people should not neglect themselves and their mental and emotional needs," added Hansen, "and that may mean treating yourself, or simply allowing yourself some down time amidst all the merrying."

One of the other key tips Hansen recommends is starting, maintaining, or even increasing an exercise and fitness regimen. "You cannot have wellness without exercise," said Hansen. He suggests walking or biking as easy ways to get started exercising -- once your doctor approves your plans.

The complete list of holiday health tips, as well as other health and wellness tools, can be found on the newly launched EmpoweringRetreat.com Website. All the resources on the site are free to visitors.

Colorado Springs, CO – Imagine having to deliver a life-saving message, crucial medicine or care for the sick in a nation – and having no way to do so but your own two feet.

Rob Lucas, otherwise known as Ultra Rob, knows just how much difference a bicycle can make. He's beginning a charity campaign on November 24 and donating 10% of earnings from his website, http://www.ultrarob.com, t
o World Bicycle Relief until the campaign ends on Christmas Day. With his website listing over 200,000 cycling and outdoor gear products from over 60 online stores, Rob is confident his contribution to the World Bicycle Relief is going to make a big difference.

World Bicycle Relief has distributed nearly 50,000 bicycles since the initiative's inception in 2005. That’s a lot of wheels supporting healthcare, education and economic development opportunities in poverty relief and disaster assistance situations. The organization has some big names backing its efforts, too, such as Johan Bruyneel, the mastermind behind 8 of the last 9 Tour de France victories, who sits on the Board of Directors.

Ultra Rob hopes to create a positive impact for bicycle recipients. He hopes to tap into the generosity of a current World Bicycle Relief supporter who will match donations dollar for dollar through the end of the year. "The money I raise will go farther," Ultra Rob points out. "One bicycle costs only $134. It won’t take much to raise funds, and every dollar adds up to make a big difference. I’m really excited about this campaign and giving the gift of a better life to these people."

Bicycles have impacted Ultra Rob’s life too. His love of cycling goes back a long, long way. "I’ve been competing for nearly 20 years. I’ve participated in the world’s toughest cycling event, riding 2,000 miles in eight days," he notes. "I had the best equipment. There are people in the world who need to deliver life-saving medicine or care for the sick, and they don’t even have the most basic equipment to get where they need to be."

"I'm proud to support World Bicycle Relief," Ultra Rob states. "It's the best way I can think of to use my website and my love of cycling to give people the resources they need for a better life." To participate in Ultra Rob's donation campaign, visit his website at http://www.ultrarob.com, or learn more on the World Bicycle Relief website at www.worldbicyclerelief.org.

Boulder, CO -- Just in time for off-season training, VeloPress is pleased to announce the release of Weight Training for Cyclists: A Total Body Program for Power and Endurance by Ken Doyle and Eric Schmitz. The book is now available in the U.S. and Canada in bookstores, bike shops, and online.

Cyclists need more than just powerful quads and chiseled calves. Cyclists need total body str
ength-a strong core and solid upper body-to ride with power and endurance. Put simply, stronger muscles last longer and stabilize the body, improving technique and efficiency.

Weight Training for Cyclists is the only book available that shows cyclists how they can get stronger to ride stronger. The authors explain how strength training in the weight room translates to endurance and power on the bike.

New in this second edition are easy-to-follow drawings that clearly demonstrate strength training exercises. Doyle and Schmitz update exercises to include the newest weight training equipment and present the latest information from new research on core strength, nutrition, stretching, and warm-up.

Weight Training for Cyclists presents a series of training plans that require only a fraction of the time that cyclists spend in the saddle. For newcomers and veterans alike, Weight Training for Cyclists will become their fundamental guide to better performance.

Las Vegas, NV -- Maresa Ng has joined an ActionCOACH business coaching firm headed by Jeevan N. Sahadevan in Malaysia.

Her office will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Prior to joining ActionCOACH, Maresa was in the field of banking.

At her previous appointment, Maresa was able to raise the required funding for small and large sized companies. She has also se
en the successful listing of some companies currently listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange.

Coaching comes naturally to Maresa. Even before she joined ActionCOACH, she was coaching a personal training business and feels that being equipped with ActionCOACH’s proven and tested tools; she will now be able to coach business owners successfully.

"I have always wanted to make a difference in the lives of business owners and have long harbored the dream of business ownership," she said. "I could not have realized these dreams in the corporate world, and decided to start my own business. Moreover, my peer-group is mostly made up of business owners and I have always admired these people for their guts and determination to be successful in a highly competitive world."

Maresa feels that owing to her banking background, she will be in a unique position to help the owners of small and medium sized businesses.

"It takes one who has worked in a bank, to understand what banks look for in companies prior to lending support and funds to them," she said. "My experience in the banking industry will give business owners the knowledge of tapping the banking industry, be it borrowing funds, getting your company listed, or bringing in investors, private equity or venture capitalists, among other things."

Maresa was impressed by ActionCOACH.

"When I first heard of ActionCOACH, my natural response was that I should have known about this company much earlier," she said. "Business coaching is a new concept in Malaysia. It is a great idea in a country, which is saturated with small and medium sized enterprises."

An active rock climber, mountain and road biker, as well as an indoor cycling instructor at commercial gyms, Maresa enjoys coaching and teaching – something she realized during her full-time job teaching people to rock climb.

"Taking from the sports analogy, in business it is not good enough to know how to run - one must also know how to truly optimize energy during a marathon, save energy when required, and burst with power when needed," she said. "Business owners need to think of their business like running a lifetime marathon in order to succeed."

ActionCOACH is the world’s number one business coaching firm, with more than 1,000 offices in 26 countries. To learn more, go to actioncoach.com.

Seattle, WA -- VholdR, the online adventure-sports community driven by a wearable camcorder, released its new 'easy to edit' software to meet the demands of its growing online community that is actively sharing video. The new software, which is Mac and PC compatible, enables anyone to tag, clip, and share their video adventures in seconds.

"VholdR is more than just a camcorder," says M
arc Barros, CEO and Co-Founder of VholdR. "Its wearable design, 'easy to edit' software, and click to share online experience are fueling an international community of sports enthusiasts who are mapping the world."

After debuting to positive reviews at January’s Consumer Electronics Show, the VholdR wearable camcorder launches its new software and growing community this holiday season with Amazon and REI. Video sharing is now as simple as connecting VholdR to your computer (USB cable), tagging your videos, clipping the best parts, and clicking to share to VholdR.com. Then email a link to your friends to experience your adventure and discover its exclusive location on a Google map.

"We realized that millions of people around the world love skiing, riding mountain bikes, motorcycles, and even hang gliding, and yet there is no easy way to capture their adventures through video and share it online," says Barros. "Our mission is simple. Make it easy for anyone to share video of their outdoor adventures."

The VholdR camera, available this holiday season at Amazon and REI, is looking to become the way to shoot and share action video for the estimated 100 million adventure-sports enthusiasts around the world who spend $93 billion on equipment, sport, and travel. Its single button to record, light but tough exterior, and various mounts can attach VholdR to your goggles, helmet, handle bars, or even your dog. Ideal for the adventure-sports enthusiast in your life, VholdR is a great tool to compliment any traveler.

Just as the number of active sports enthusiasts continue to grow, increasing too are those that share video online. Many analysts see online video sharing as a strong market segment in an otherwise languid economy. ComScore Video Metrix Services reports online video is estimated to be a $25B market engaging more than 200 million people around the world. US internet users viewed over 12 billion online videos in May 2008, an increase of 45 percent from a year ago.

Available this holiday for $349.99, VholdR and its online community appear poised to open the window to the world for not only outdoor enthusiasts, but those who want to check out the action from the comforts of their home or office.
