Bear Creek Resort to Host Short Track Series

The Bear Creek Mountain Resort will host the 2008 Short Track Mountain Bike Race Series tomorrow, July 29. Organized to provide a venue for bikers to improve their racing ability or try racing firsthand, the race series will feature an A race and B race, with the A race set for expert riders and B race for beginners who are interested in getting into the racing action.
The race series started off last April 29, with monthly races set every last Tuesday of the month. Participating riders will be grouped into four age categories, with race ranking set each month to determine points for the duration of the series. A series prize will be awarded to the top pointers for the A and B races. Registration on site starts at 5:30pm, with races scheduled at 6:00pm for B race and 6:30pm for A race.
