No Mountains for 2012 Olympic Mountain Bikers

Ministers of the 2012 Olympic mountain bike event were ridiculed for considering Essex, a county with no mountains, as the venue for the bike event.
According to Plaid Cymru MP Adam Price, Essex does not have mountains - the essential component in mountain biking. Price also said that the venue should be moved from Essex to South Wales. Margam near Port Talbot had "international standard" courses and tracks suitable for the sport.
Since January, London 2012 organizers have been looking for a new venue that would be challenging enough for riders who would participate in the event.
