The XTERRA Arizona Xtreme Desert Triathlon is now back at Saguaro Lake for its eighth year. It will be held in and around Saguaro Lake, located in the Tonto National Forest. Hang out with other athletes and compare notes while enjoying food, beer, and much more. The 8th annual XTERRA: Arizona Xtreme Desert Triathlon will be held in conjunction with The Saguaro Lake Road Triathlon.
The triathlon includes swimming 1500m in the calm waters of Saguaro Lake which extends from Key Hole Recreation area to Butcher Jones Cove along the imposing cliff walls on the north side of the lake. Water temperature is around 60 degrees. The next is a mountain biking course that will start from the transition area at Butcher Jones Cove. Athletes will head up a 1000-foot climb to the place overlooking Saguaro lake. Upon turning west, it’s a smooth ride all the way to the transition at Saguaro Lake Ranch Resort. The last part is a 5.5-mile trail run that will start and end at Saguaro Lake Ranch Resort.
Don’t miss this chance to swim, bike, and run in the beautiful but tough course – XTERRA: Arizona Xtreme Desert Triathlon!
