Aspen's Riders Form Mountain Biking Group
THURSDAY, 28 FEBRUARY 2008
After nearly two decades since mountain biking was first introduced in Roaring Fork Valley, Aspen, local riders have finally come together to ensure their access to trails in the area. This week, they formally announced the birth of the Roaring Fork Mountain Bike Association.
The said association aims to maintain riders' access to the trails. The group will also be working hand in hand with public land managers in order to ensure that the trails are developed to meet the increasing demands of the sport.
The group currently has 100 members. The founders are hoping that they will have 1000 riders by the end of this year.
