Volunteers Work Together to Make Trail

Over 25 mountain biking enthusiasts and volunteers have worked together to complete the Philpott Trail last Saturday, January 26.
The group was composed of volunteers from Henry County Bike Club, Franklin Free-Wheelers, the Southern Virginia Mountain Bike Association, the Dan River Basin Association, Franklin County Parks and Recreation, and Martinsville Rivers and Trails.
The group had worked over six hours in order to complete the installation of the 1,000-feet trail, incorporating it on the system of trails at the Jamison Recreation area, located at the Philpott Lake.
The system of trails will enable outdoor lovers to enjoy mountain biking and hiking.
