Pietermaritzburg, SA to Host World Cycling Events

In the next four years, South Africa’s Pietermaritzburg will bear witness to various major road cycling events, mainly mountain biking and BMX events.
Pietermaritzburg will be hosting the said events starting this year with the World’s View Challenge. This will kick off on February 2 and will last until the 7th.
The World’s View Challenge will showcase five one-day races. It will feature world-class biking teams like Team Barloworld, Team Milram, Team Liquigas and more.
Meanwhile, other major cycling events set to take place in Pietermaritzburg include UCI Mountain Bike Triple World Cup from 2009 until 2011, as well as the UCI BMX World Championships in 2010.
