THURSDAY, 29 NOVEMBER 2007
Pennsylvania - The Jersey Shore Area School Board has finally approved the addition of mountain biking component in the high school health and physical education curriculum during a meeting held last November 27.
The motion was approved unanimously regardless of the absence of two board members. Some clarifications regarding the possible effect of the program were also raised during the said meeting. This includes the possible cost of the campus grounds’ maintenance as well as making it possible for students with disabilities to join the said class.
Meanwhile, according to Superintendent Richard J. Emery, the mountain biking program will be incorporated in the curriculum and will be implemented next year.
