SA Stage Race to Add Eighth Stage in 2008

South Africa’s renowned stage race recently announced their intention to include an eighth stage in 2008.
The 900-kilometer race will now be preceded by a 15-kilometer prologue time trial. The said time trial will be held at the town of Knysna this coming March 28, 2008.
During the said time trial, the participating mountain bikers will compete in two teams. Each team will be assigned a specific starting time and will be set off in 30-second intervals.
Meanwhile, the specific route for the 2008 Absa Cape Epic is expected to be announced this coming October 30 at the charity route launch gala.
