Jersey Mountain Bike Festival Kicks off Sept. 29
THURSDAY, 30 AUGUST 2007
The second annual Jersey Mountain Bike Festival will kick off this coming September 29 and last until the 30th, and will be held at the Greve de Lecq Woods.
In this year's festival a new spectacular super steep and technical downhill, called the "Super G" will be launched. The course was especially designed for the event and will include 100 tonnes of earth in the bottom field, jumps, drop offs, and an extraordinary wall ride and gnarly off camber ribbon of singletrack.
The mountain bike festival was the brainchild of mountain biking enthusiasts Aaron Lappage of Jersey Bike Repairs. The event aimed to generate funds for the Jersey Hospice Care. In the previous year about 70 riders participated in the said event.
