Dumfries to Host World Mountain Bike Conference |

Dumfries has won the rights to host the 2008 World Mountain Bike Conference on Sustainability.
The Scottish county has fought off various competitors from across the globe to host the said event, which will be held between September 17 and 19 next year. This is the first time the conference will be held outside of Canada.

Jersey Mountain Bike Festival Kicks off Sept. 29 |

The second annual Jersey Mountain Bike Festival will kick off this coming September 29 and last until the 30th, and will be held at the Greve de Lecq Woods.

IMBA's Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day Opens |

The International Mountain Bicycling Association recently announced that the opening of registration for the second Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, which will be held on October 6.
The event is open to everyone who wishes to participate. Registered participants are eligible for prizes offered at the said event. Among the prizes are 10 kids bike courtesy of longtime IMBA supporter Schwinn.

Mountain Bike World Championships Invades UK |

The Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships will be going to the UK this coming September 3 and will last for six days at Fort William in Scotland.
The much awaited event will feature world class riders competing in the four mountain bike disciplines namely cross-country, trials, 4-cross and downhill.

McLean Wins Subaru Lost City Biking Challenge |

Andrew McLean conquered the 50 kilometer course and bagged the title for the Subaru Lost City Mountain Bike Challenge held Sunday, August 26.
The former top road riding pro showcased his MTB skills at the circuit race at Sun City Resort and the Palace of the Lost City. Meanwhile, in the women's category Marissa van der Merwe bagged the victory for her team.
