Oakridge Westward New Center for Mountain Biking
MONDAY, 30 JULY 2007
This year's Oregon Mountain Bike event attracted more than six hundred mountain biking enthusiasts to the small town of Oakridge Westward.
According to the event's co-promoter Randy Dreilling, the mountain bike event will help put Oakridge Westward into the map making them the new center for mountain biking.
The success of the event resulted in a more consistent cash flow for the local economy. The organizers expressed their appreciated for the support of the local residents who provided cooked meals, information booth, as well as helping cyclists move to the different paths.
In lieu of the event's success a second biking weekend will be held in mid-August.
