Trails at Frances Slocum under MTB Group's Care
THURSDAY, 17 MAY 2007
The Northeastern Pennsylvania Mountain Biking Association (NEPMTBA) has made arrangements with Kristian Baker, the park manager of Frances Slocum State Park in Kingston Township, to put about 5.5 miles of biking trails under their care.
A new mountain biking group formed by Chris Stine, NEPMTBA has now made certain developments to the trails, which include re-contouring washed out trails, picking up of litters, and removal of fallen trees, according to spokesman Kevin Czekalski.
NEPMTBA currently holds rides for mountain bikers of all skill levels every Tuesday at 6 PM. Mountain biking enthusiasts are encouraged to bring a mountain biker, helmet, and a water bottle.
