Hoots, a former competitive mountain bike racer for eight years was brought in by the Terrace Off Road Cycling Association. He has built mountain bike parks in Canmore, Vancouver, and Burns Lake.
Starting at Haugland Avenue, the park would go through Tetrault Street to Graham Avenue. Elevation changes and series of obstacles are just some of the features of the mountain bike park area. Development work will start on June 6.

Trails for cross-country, free-ride and BMX are now located at Highbridge Park, which with the rest of New York City parks have banned mountain biking since 1993.
A young mountain biker has related that previously, there was no park. There used to have a couple of trails at the back of Inwood Park but after sometime, they were taken off because it was not allowed. "So now I have somewhere where I can come any time and just show my tricks", he said. The mountain biking course was built by volunteers over a period of 18 months.

A new mountain biking group formed by Chris Stine, NEPMTBA has now made certain developments to the trails, which include re-contouring washed out trails, picking up of litters, and removal of fallen trees, according to spokesman Kevin Czekalski.
NEPMTBA currently holds rides for mountain bikers of all skill levels every Tuesday at 6 PM. Mountain biking enthusiasts are encouraged to bring a mountain biker, helmet, and a water bottle.

"We included a new stage for the second day, which will link the finish venue of day one with the start venue of day three. Now, we will certainly cross from coast to coast in four days," sad Race Director Luis Viquez.
The new stage has been designed by race founder Roma Urbina, which will take hours to complete. Days 1, 3, and 4 will be the same as previous years. Day 2 features the new stage, which will begin at El Rodeo and will end at Terramall Shopping Center.
