Visitor Centre Opens at Coed y Brenin in the UK

At Coed y Brenin near Dolgellau, a visitor centre costing 1.6 million has been opened to the public recently. The visitor centre has world-class trails meandering through a surrounding forest.
Replacing the old centre located at Maesgwm, the new visitor centre took a year to finish. Wales Countryside Minister Carwyn Jones said that centres like the one in Coed y Brenin is transforming how people think about the forests in Wales and how it can bring economic benefitrs to rural areas.
The centre caters to all mountain bikers of all levels of abilities. There is also a trail for leisure family walks and challenging running tracks. Coed y Brenin is a recognized mecca for mountain biking that attracts 80,000 visitors annually.
