Canberra to Host World Biking Championship

Australia - The 2009 Mountain Bike World Championships is expected to bring $20 million, boosting Canberra's economy.
Canberra has beaten Germany and Canada in hosting the championships. Jan Stanhope, ATC Chief Minister, relates that hosting the championship will make Canberra as the capital of mountain biking in Australia.
Over 750 riders from around the world will participate in the championships which is the world's largest mountain bike event. Thirty thousand spectators are expected to watch it.
