Australia MTB Nationals Starts Today

The 2007 MTBA Australian Mountain Bike Championships which will gather Australia's top mountain bike athletes will start today, January 26, until Sunday, January 28, at Mt. Stromlo Forest Park in Canberra.
The mountain bike championships include cross country, downhill, mountain cross events, observed trials, and a crit. World Champion Sam Hill and defending national champion Nathan Rennie will be racing downhill. In the cross country race, Tory Thomas, Kate Potter, and defending national champion Dellys Star will be competing against each other. Olympian Sid Taberlay will also be competing against Chris Jongewaard, Aiden Lefmann, Dylan Cooper, and Shaun Lewis. Luke Madill and Terrance Scarrare are competing in the mountain cross race while Caroline Buchanan will be defending her national title.
The UCI's choice for the 2009 world mountain bike championships venue will be announced today.
