Parkin to Join Duesouth Xterra Next Month

Olympic silver medalist Terence Parkin will be joining the Duesouth Xterra, a multi-sport competition which will be held at Shongweni Dam in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa this December 10.

Parkin, 26, has joined and won in various competitions like the Sydney Olympics, the 2006 World Deaf Cycling Championships, and the Powerade Triple Challenge. He will be competing against Kent Horner, Su Erskine, Lance Chapman, Dan Hugo, Tyronne White, and other multi sport athletes from South Africa.

The Duesouth Xterra includes three events:mountain biking, running, and swimming. Solo athletes and teams composed of three members can join the triathlon. The next leg of the Duesouth Xterra will be held on February next year while the South African Xterra finals will be on April.
