A New Plan Bike Trail in Northeast Houston
MONDAY, 25 SEPTEMBER 2006
Houston - A new trail along Halls Bayou is part of the plan to build 80 miles of interconnected bike trails which run through the Calgary Woods Subdivision off Hirsch Road.
Once it is completed, the trail along Halls Bayou would measure three miles starting at Hirsch Road and will end near Forest Brook High School. Although nearby residents would enjoy a new bike trail, homeowners near the city of Houston's $7.9 million planned trail doesn't like the idea at all since it will only cause so much traffic which they never experience before.
Christi Brown who is one of the residents in the area said "even though most neighbors are against the idea for the trail, it's something they're willing to accept."
