Herndon to represent US at the World Championships

Twenty-five-year old Christopher Herndon will be representing the US in the 2006 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships.
Herndon, a professional downhill mountain biker, has been named by USA Cycling as a member of the elite men's downhill biking team. "This has been a 12-year goal for me," says Herndon.
The 2006 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships is slated on August 22-26 in New Zealand. The event will showcase Olympic-discipline cross country racing for junior, U23 and elite athletes, and downhill, 4-cross, trials and team relays.
