Biking for Cancer
FRIDAY, 23 JUNE 2006
Twenty-three men and women from the University of Texas-Austin are participating in the Rocky Mountain Sense Corp. Texas 4000 to bring about cancer awareness.
This event is a 4,500-mile biking journey that began June 3 in Austin Texas going to Anchorage Alaska. They have been fundraising and training for the event since the fall of 2005. Pit stops give them a chance to speak about cancer awareness and how to prevent it.
Cancer survivors and patients also attended the event and listened to the students speak about their cause.
