2006 Saab Salomon Mountain Mayhem in June!
WEDNESDAY, 24 MAY 2006
Even if the registration period for this year's Saab Salomon Mountain Mayhem is already over, you can still catch the action at the sidelines by heading to the Eastnor Castle at Ledbury, Herfordshire in the UK from June 23 to 25.
The competition which is dubbed as, "The World's Biggest 24-Hour Mountain Bike Festival," will be featuring some of Europe's top racers. But inspite of the seemingly competitive nature of the the event, "the majority of racers are there just for personal challenge, to race with (and against) their friends and to soak up in the atmosphere," the event's website states.
Although the race itself takes place during the weekend of the 24th and the 25th, many of the racers and their supporters will already be at the venue either on Thursday night or Friday morning. That is to give the riders the opportunity to make practice laps before the event itself.
So if you wish to witness this big event which is already on its 9th year, mark the dates on your calendar and don't miss them. More information on the event can be found at their website at www.ssmm.co.uk.
