Big Bend Considering Opening Trails For Bikers
WEDNESDAY, 25 JANUARY 2006
Riders in Southern Texas will be happy to know that Big Bend National Park is considering opening a few trails for mountain bikers. The park was currently selected as a pilot project of the National Park Service and the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA).
A meeting on January 30 at Sul Ross State University and a meeting on Jan. 31 at Study Butte Community Center will be held for people to air their opinions and concerns. IMBA is calling all riders to help in the decision process since there are some concerns that the sport might degrade the land.
For more details on how to support the decision, visit www.imba.com.
