Freeride Mountain Biking

Freeride Mountain Biking Freeride Mountain Biking is between Cross-Country and Downhill Mountain Biking. It is considered as an advanced level of biking since aside from the usual climbing and descending, it involves conquering obstacles, doing some stunts, jumps, and drops, and performing technical moves. In the city, freeride involves rampages and halfpipe. This is popular in the United States, Canada, and Australia.

Freeride Mountain Biking is held on trails which can provide a wide variety of challenges. Since it is a form of technical riding, it requires specific bike-handling skills and techniques. Freeride Mountain Bikes have dual suspension, but with less weight and less travel than a DH Mountain Bike. Compared to Endurance bikes, Freeride Mountain Bikes tend to have more suspension travel and are built from stronger, lighter materials. They are designed to be an all-rounder and are able to cross distances (although not as quickly or efficiently as an XC bike). Moreover, they can take on dangerous and technical downhill trails (but not as quickly or effectively as a specialized DH bike).

In Freeride Mountain Biking competitions, participants were given points by judges based on their ability to overcome obstacles.

These are the features of Freeride Mountain Biking. If you are up for the challenge then this sport is for you. Have the right Mountain Bike and gear, understand the skills and risks involved, do some stunts, and experience the thrilling sport called Freeride Mountain Biking.
