Indoor Mountain Biking

Written by: ggeneroso

Indoor Mountain Biking Mountain Biking has never been the same since the creation of the Indoor Mountain Biking park. Traditionally, Mountain Biking is basically riding a Mountain Bike on various types of roads. Downhill Mountain Biking, Freeride Mountain Biking, and Cross-country Mountain Biking are some if its disciplines. Who would have thought that this can possibly be done indoors?

Realizing that Mountain Biking is generally weather-dependent, Ray Petro came up with the idea of building an indoor mountain bike park. Though Indoor Mountain Biking just started in 2004, it already has a lot of followers, and the population is constantly growing. It is being featured in various magazines and even TV shows.

Petro's bike park was used to be a World War II parachute factory. Now, covering a total of 82,000 square feet, the park has transformed into a place full of complicated tracks and wooden ramps. Upon learning that Petro is going to build an indoor mountain bike park, riders, kids, and investment managers came up to help. Bridges, barricades, and other obstacles were them added in the park.

Like outdoor biking, Indoor Mountain Biking also has tracks to suit different types of rider. Gear and equipment are still the same for both outdoor and Indoor Mountain Biking. There are very few differences. Aside from the fact that it is done indoors, you can go Indoor Mountain Biking no matter what the weather is.

Mountain bikers could now ride even if it is raining. Visit the indoor bike park near you and experience the thrill that Indoor Biking can offer.
