music (specially the type i listen to) energizes me and makes me go faster so i had to ditch the earplugs to get home in one piece

I listen to upbeat music, those that would make me dance, of course that is if I weren't biking.

although listening to music while riding is energizing i avoid doing that, i keep my ears bare bec. i look out for incoming traffic or whatever.

i love calming music, love the oldies. when i go biking i sometimes listen to music by ray charles, aretha franklin but there are times when i listen to up beat. it really depends on my mood.

yeah, i agree that you have to pay attention to the road when you're biking. Headphones are big no, no's for me!
Maybe what you can do is find a way to connect speakers to your bike, so you dont have to plug anything in your ears!
play some chopin while youre at it!
