I remember when Jake Watson died after crashing downhill without any chest protection. I am practicing my downhill biking skills, do I really need this? what brand would you suggest?

i think you would really need one if you are planning to do more dangerous stuff and trails.. but for normal and adventurous mountain bikers, i dont think an armour is necessary.. I dont want to wear one to be honest.. sounds uncomfortable.

im thinking body armor.. metal.. hard and heavy.. extremely uncomfortable piece of gear. but hey if it adds protection and meets your needs, go splurge..
