OTC Training
With eighteen employed tutors located through the UK and Europe, OTC Training provides the largest function of mountain bike qualifications and training in the region. Training works for you through open courses you can access as individuals or for groups through what we call 'special courses'.
Five levels of courses exist, including:
- Road Leader, for leading and teaching groups and individuals on roads and technical, urban environments.
- Assistant Leader, the first stage on the road to becoming an indpendant leader, this is ideal for those under 18.
- Trail Leader for utilising the off road environment to the full. Games, fun and skills can be developed for individuals and groups.
- Technical Leader is for developing your groups skills in more demanding mountain biking terrain, including singletrack, rocks, roots, bumps and lumps.
- Advanced Leader enables you to make the most of remote and mountain environments.
Also provided is the Skill Instructor, supporting the Technical or Advanced Leader qualifications with the knowledge, teaching and assessing skills for riding skill development.
All courses are available, and are accepted throughout the UK, with the Trail, Technical and Advanced Leader qualifications also in use throughout Europe and beyond.
OTC Training also provides a consultancy service for those requiring technical mountain biking and mountain biking leading expertise. We specialise in the development of multi activity outdoor environment developments especially in locations of specific need. OTC Training also provides a site evaluation and inspection service for mountain bike areas, sites and developments, including regular trail inspections; north shore design, usablility and maintenance checks.

As such they have a wealth of knowledge and qualifications from Teacher training to land management.
