Mountain Biking in Greece
Our off road cycling experience is suitable for beginners to experienced cyclists as often the group can be split for two levels of experience ( numbers permitted ). This biking vacation is available as a 7 night holiday but you can stay 1 extra week with an extension of the beach. Separated by the steep gorge of the Tembi Valley and the Pinios River raise the imposing peaks of Olympus in the North and the mountains of Ossa in the South from the coastal plains of the Aegean Sea. Old Chestnut and Plantain forests alternate with fragrant meadows covered with herbs. The jagged peaks stand in stark contrast to the wide views of the coastal landscape. Experiencing these landscapes closely is the philosophy of our Mountain Bike Weeks.
Lead by experienced bike guides we will bring you to the most beautiful spots in the Olympos and Ossa mountains. Our routes vary from scenic country and forest trails to exhilarating down hills through dried up river beds. En-route we’ll stop in idyllic mountain villages, monasteries and have a chance to swim in the Aegean Sea. The tours are designed in a way that novice bikers as well as experienced bikers can enjoy themselves and are flexible enough to be adapted to the need of the groups.
After exiting days on the bike the beautiful beaches of the Aegean invite to relax and swim. Accommodation is in a comfortable small family run hotel at the beach and a Service Center to ensure trouble free cycling during the holiday. In the evenings we’ll enjoy a good selection of local Greek cuisine and wine.
