Mountain Bike Holidays with Style
10fifty Mountain Bike Holidays was born out of a desire to offer the serious mountain biker an unforgettable, uncompromised and fun holiday experience. Our base in Chamonix in the French Alps, mountain bikers are treated to the cream of the miles of sweet singletrack set in beautiful Alpine scenery and relax at the end of the day in our comfortable French chalet. 10fifty Mountain Bike Holidays are different as we show you the very best trails Chamonix and the surrounding area, including Switzerland, can offer. The mountain bike trails are highly technical and with tough climbs and exhilarating descents we do not take beginners on our rides. With smaller numbers of bikers, and all riding to a good standard, you get to do more mountain biking at the pace you want to ride.
The 10fifty website aims to give you all the information and inspiration to come out and ride on a 10fifty mountain biking holiday. Read about the awesome steep, rocky, rooty trails that you can be mountain biking on from one of Chamonix's many cable cars; the tough climbs that will make you earn your downhill. Be inspired by the photos in our gallery section, or watch some of the video we have shot in the French Alps.
Also on the website are other things of interest to a mountain biker; reviews of the kit we use in the Alps, (if it will survive in Chamonix it will survive almost anywhere); there are computer desktop wallpapers to download; stories about epic rides that have been done; weather and Chamonix resort information and a selection of bike kit items, socks, T-Shirts etc. Go to the our website and check it all out.

Chamonix has probably the best technical mountain biking trails in Europe, and is right up there with the top few places in the world. If you love mountain biking then this is the holiday for you. We are experts at mountain biking, we don't do any other sorts of holidays. We have been riding Chamonix since 1997 and we have the best trail portfolio.
We don't take beginners and the chalet is small so you are guaranteed a great riding experience with people of the same sort of level and in a small group to make the day about riding trails not waiting around for people. 10fifty pride themselves in being the best; if that's what you want from your mountain biking then come and stay with us. |

There is loads for the non-mountain biker to do in Chamonix, from hiking to rafting; but you will be too busy riding your bike for all but one day to even worry about that. If you have a non-riding significant other then you can be assured that they will have a great holiday in the outdoors without you when they come with you to Chamonix and stay with 10fifty. More details on our website. |

The holidays run from Saturday to Saturday. Therefore a typical week will be something like this...
Saturday arrive at Geneva airport to be greated by the big red10fifty bus, go back to the chalet and unpack your bike. Put the bike together and then nip into Chamonix town to pick up a couple of spare inner tubes and engery gels as you forgot to pack yours. Stop off and have a coffee and then think better of it and have a beer instead. Go back to the chalet and sit down with all the other guests and guides and get to know everybody. Share some mountain biking tales and get excited about the riding as you eat a great dinner.
Sunday - First ride and everybody is well up for it. Leave the chalet around 10.30 after a good breakfast. Ride some great trails, get hot, get sweaty, go up, go down, grin lots, remember why you love mountain biking so much. Have the big sandwich for lunch and it tastes like heaven as you look upon a view that is up in the clouds itself. Finish the ride mid to late afternoon all muddy/dusty (we have been unable so far to control the weather) and smiling, sit in the garden sipping a beer exchanging the tales from the day's riding. Have another great meal, maybe some more beers, perhaps pop around the corner into Chamonix's bars and have beers there to celebrate a great day.
Monday & Tuesday - Same as Sunday except the trails keep getting better and better.
Wednesday - Have the day off as your legs are feeling it now. May be go rafting, hiking, go up the Aiguille du Midi cable car to within 1000m of Mont Blanc, or visit the adventure park... or one of the many other activity that Chamonix has to offer. You won't be stuck for something to do!
As its cook's night off we all tend to go to a local eatery together, but if you want to make your own plans, you can!
Thursday & Friday - More and more great trails. You are starting to wonder how we have found so many great trails. You also realise that 10fifty know the best ones as you rarely see other mountain bikers on the trails that 10fifty are riding even though there are loads of mountain bikers in Chamonix. Think to yourself 'I am glad I booked with 10fifty and not one of those cheap ski companies doing mountain biking in the summer.'
Friday night - be absolutely gutted that the week is over. Make a deal with the others you have met this week that you will all come back for two weeks next year, or do the Tour du Mont Blanc with 10fifty. Seal the agreement with too many beers in Chamonix and maybe a slammer just for good measure.
Saturday - Be taken to the airport by 10fifty where you wave goodbye to the mountains, taking with you some stunning photos, some new friends, maybe a couple of cuts and bruises, and some great memories.
